Expressive Therapy Internship - NewBridge on the Charles - Hebrew Rehabilitation Center
Academic Programs

Description

The Expressive Therapy training offered at our NewBridge on the Charles (NBOC) in Dedham in the Health Center and Memory Assisted Living program. Expressive therapists provide psychosocial support to HSL patients and residents who experience difficulties adjusting to aging, transitioning to a communal living, health status change, memory impairment, depression, anxiety, etc. They use non-verbal modalities of music, movement, and art as vehicles for achieving clinical goals. We offer both group and individual treatment. Members of the ET staff are highly skilled in their primary modality and are seasoned counselors. We have an impressive record of our former trainees who are successfully employed in the expressive therapy and mental health counseling fields. We provide students with weekly supervision by certified expressive therapist and approved LMHC supervisor as appropriate. The campus is accessible via shuttle from Forest Hills and provides free parking.
